Cotyledon Environmental Consulting can conduct environmental monitoring using soil and vegetation analysis to determine air pollution impacts on the terrestrial environment

About the

company

Cotyledon Environmental is an independent consulting company that specializes in the science of phytotoxicology, which is investigating, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on environmental impacts on the terrestrial ecosystem. It is a sole proprietor business registered in the Province of Ontario, Canada. Through its business partnership with Maxxam, a Canadian market leader in analytical services, Cotyledon Environmental offers a broad spectrum of soil and vegetation monitoring and analysis. Located in Brampton, Ontario, the company provides environmental consulting services locally, regionally, province-wide, and across Canada.

Soil and vegetation are environmental sinks for contaminants. What goes up a stack or otherwise escapes a facility either by design or accident inevitably must come down and interacts with the soil and the plants in our fields, farms, forests, parks and residential and commercial neighbourhoods. Cotyledon Environmental will design and conduct soil and/or vegetation sampling programs and prepare comprehensive reports that interpret the analytical data relative to the appropriate government regulations. Routine soil and vegetation analyses include scans for inorganic elements such as mercury, uranium, copper, lead, cobalt, nickel, antimony, arsenic, sodium, chloride, and fluoride, and organic compounds like petroleum hydrocarbons, PCBs and PAHs. Specialized organic analysis, like dioxins and furans and selected pesticides can also be arranged.

Cotyledon Environmental also works with land developers to provide Natural Heritage Assessments, Environmental Impact Studies, flora and fauna surveys, screening for species at risk, and environmental due diligence assessment of properties prior to purchase.
